Advocacy Access is a one-year project launching in May 2026 with the aim of improving access to services for people with disabilities throughout the Western Isles.
We will host regular meetings in communities from the Butt to Barra, beginning in June 2026, and we encourage anyone with a physical disability or mental disability, including dementia-related conditions and learning difficulties, to join us, as well as those who care for, support or work with people with disabilities. This is a great opportunity for you to have your voices heard, and for us to work with you to influence decision-making in the future to improve accessibility for everyone.
Meetings are open to everyone with an interest, but it would be useful if you could register to be part of the Advocacy Access group by completing this simple registration form.
We will have tea and coffee available at each venue. If you’d like to discuss support with transport in order to attend an event, or if you’d like to join a meeting virtually please get in touch by email or by calling 01851 701755.
We will update this page with dates, times, venues and other information about upcoming events.
